Your Best Bets for Salon Results!

Babyliss Pro Thermal Iionic Hair Dryer review- Looking for the same effect of Japanese Straightening without the high cost and chemicals? Babyliss Pro is the most respected maker of high quality salon-grade styling tools.

This Dryer strengthens, straightens, shines, and defrizzes with patented ionic technology.

Rumor has it that Will and Grace actress Debra Messing discovered she couldn’t live without one after her on-set stylist used it to blow her naturally curly hair out to a smooth curtain of high-gloss perfection.

Due to it’s patented technology, it also reduces drying time for less damage. Another of my favorites is the FHI ionic ceramic hair dryer – it dries hair in record speed and leaves it shinier and less brittle with every use. I have long hair, and it often dries my hair in five minutes.

T3 Tourmaline Hair Dryer – Get the sleek, shiny, never-frizzy hair of the celebrities – this dryer is what many of
the star’s stylists use.  This hair dryer is the best money you’ll ever spend and it lasts forever.

Infused with 100 percent tourmaline jewels (the world’s most potent ionic mineral), T3 Dryer and Diffuser
deliver maximum negative ions and infrared heat. This means lightning fast drying and healthier, shinier, deeply
moisturized hair.

An entirely new approach to blow drying, the T3 guarantees frizz-free results every time.Other benefits include:-Breaks down water for deep moisture penetration-Smoothes hair surface for silky-smooth shine-Eliminates static-Delivers heat gently to the hair shaft.

Aveda Hang Straight Straightening Lotion – An excellent hair straightener and smoothing and shining product.  I recommend you use this with a shine serum as well for the maximum light reflection.

Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream -  This imparts gorgeous shine and is actually used by many top hairstylists on celebrity clients.  A salon favorite.

Babyliss Pro Ceramic Straighteners – This is what the professionals use to get that salon-straight  look. Straightens the best of any straightening iron, while minimizing styling damage to the hair.  You may not know this, but the reason the salons get a higher quality straightening effect is that they use salon quality straighteners that heat up faster and hotter than the average retail flat iron.  This is a top notch product.

Frederic Fekkai Technician Conditioner and Shampoo for Dry, Damaged or Colored Hair – Frederic Fekkai has a great line of hair products, all geared towards giving you the celebrity hair look by creating products geared toward your specific hair needs to transform it into shiny hair full of moisture, bounce and a healthy sheen.

This whole haircare line is a celebrity favorite for getting salon results every day.  You don’t even have to use much of the conditioner since it’s so rich and thick, so it saves you money too.

Frederic Fekkai Lucious Curls & Aveda Be Curly You’ve seen the latest hair trend – bouncy, beautiful curls are back in.  Hair with body, shine, and sexy loose curls has crept its way back in to style as a nice alternative on those days when you just don’t feel like blowing your hair out or using a flattening iron.

Lucious Curls and Be Curly both give tremendous definition and separation, allowing for a frizz free, beautiful wave or curl. Reflects light to further enhance your vivacious curls.  Never frizzy, dull or fried looking hair.  A great way to take the day off from your straight look while still looking chic and polished in curls.

On a Budget?  Inexpensive Remedies for Dry, Lifeless Hair

Castor Oil for Silky Hair – Be careful with this though, as over-application will weigh the hair down.   Catherine Zeta Jones uses this to keep her hair in top condition.

Vinegar Rinse – Periodically rinse hair with vinegar.  The natural acids make your hair super soft and shiny – rinse thoroughly to rid hair of leftover scent.  Apply a smoothing balm or creme to hair.

Cold Water Rinse – The good old cold-water rinse is still a good standby for taming unruly hair and adding extra shine. ***It is highly recommended you take an Omega 3 Fish Oil supplement.  After consistent use, you will notice a difference in the luster and strength of your hair.  This is also an excellent source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids which accelerate and enhance the body’s fat burning ability.

Omega 3 supplements are inexpensive and can be found online at and  Also, when you skip a washing, be sure to wear a shower cap instead of putting the hair in a pony tail, as this assures no stray drops of water make the hair frizz.

Want bangs but can never manage them or get them to stay straight? The simplest trick that my Aveda stylist taught me was to make sure my bangs were absolutely the first thing I dried when I got out of the shower.  If they are not dried immediately they may frizz and turn unruly.  Also, be sure to use a straightening creme or lotion when blowing dry.

The latest look in hair color is rich, warm color, unlike the severe contrast of past color trends.  The chunky streaks of yesterday have been traded for more uniform, slightly highlighted, richer tones.  One of the highest quality “over-the-counter” hair colors available today are L’Oreal Haircolor Products.  Any of their hair color products has been found to be non-drying and color-true.  They also have an excellent intensive conditioning packet (very reasonable), called Feria After Color Conditioner, which works wonders oncolored or processed hair.

Healthy Hair Habits
#1  Use a hot oil treatment once a week
#2  Do not wash hair in hot water, as this can be too stripping and drying
#3  Use an ionic hairdryer – this is less damaging
#4  Sleep on a satin pillow case or a “hair saver” pillow case.  This helps reduce the amount of breakage and damage to your hair, and you will wake up without the “bedhead” look.  Hair stays smoother through the night.
