FHI Hair Dryer Review

How Does FHI Compare to Other High End Salon Hair Dryers?

I know that spending a hundred bucks on a hair dryer seems like a lot of money, at least for me it seemed that way at first. But when you see a dryer as well reviewed as the FHI nano salon pro hair dryer, you really can tell that it’s worth the money.

I thought I’d try it for myself and see what the hype was about and then provide a review for my readers, who I know are always interested in simplifying their beauty routine, and getting the most for their hard earned money.

I know I’m not above spending good money for good, salon quality beauty tools, and the FHI hair dryer’s reviews were so consistently good, that I decided to go for it when my Sedu hair dryer died out on me.

I’m not sure if the good ionic stuff just died, but it seemed to no longer give me the smooth results it once did after about two years, which is fair I think. So, I was ready for a new hair dryer, and that’s when I started reading about the FHI products, which were actually new to me. Prior to this, I had never even heard of FHI.

Even the “bad” reviews of this product were more about the warranty or if they got a defective product, but I didn’t find anyone really who said that the product just didn’t work well on their hair. So, this was the one I went with.

Without further ado, here is my full review of the Fhi Heat 2000 Nano Salon Pro 2000 Professional Salon Hair Dryer (boy that was a mouth full!)

I received my order in about 4 business days. I have used the dryer about 6 times now, and I swear it makes my hair look better every time. Not sure if that’s just my imagination, but it seems to calm my naturally frizzy hair – especially in the humidity, and not leave it fried out looking as it looks with standard hair dryers when I’m done drying my hair.

This dryer is definitely much faster than any other dryer I’ve used, even the Sedu ionic technology dryer. I’m not sure how they do that, but I love the fact that I’m done with my long hair in about ten minutes from top to bottom, rather than having damp patches when I’m done, which inevitably lead to unruliness and frizz and kinks when I use other dryers that take FOREVER to totally dry my hair.

I usually just end up getting tired of standing there like a dope with a dryer in my hand for ten minutes and give up and let the rest air dry. With this one, ten minutes is more than enough to wring all the moisture out and leave it a lot straighter and lot smoother than a normal dryer does. I do notice an added bonus of humidity resistance as well when I use this FHI dryer.

It seems like my hair which normally swells up pretty large in the humidity here in Northeastern Ohio, tends to stay calmer, even when I step out into humidity. I like to use the cold blast to “set” my hair as well.

I usually will use the cold blast button and the cool setting for about thirty seconds to one minute when I’m done drying my hair to provide that extra shine (I do notice a difference when I use it in the shine and luster of my hair).

Some people said that the dryer was a little on the heavy side, but I thought it was actually pretty light, especially considering the fact that you have to hold it a lot less time than a lot of other hair dryers since it dries so quickly and efficiently.

What I love best is when I’m done drying with the FHI nano dryer, it doesn’t look like a giant hay stack which it tend to look like with other conventional dryers. I usually dread washing my hair because it looks like crap after I wash it and only looks better when it’s been a full day or two since it’s been washed.

Now, I feel like if I wanted to, I could probably wash my hair every day and it would look manageable, bouncy and smooth. Not that it’s going to happen, I’m just sayin’.

Oh, that’s another benefit and reason it’s getting a rave review from me. It seems to add bounce to my hair. It’s not just poker straight, hang-in-your-face type of hair, but instead it has a natural bounce and healthy look to it. I don’t know how they do it, but those folks at FHI have come up with a great salon quality dryer! THUMBS UP IN THE AIR FOR THIS ONE!
